The Hot Place is a wood-fired sauna and cold plunge experience set in the heart of Thurstaston, right by The Nest Café on Station Road. Tucked inside a beautifully converted horsebox, our sauna offers a cosy, atmospheric escape where you can unwind, reset, and reconnect with yourself or others.

Book A Session

You can book the sauna for private hire if you want it all to yourselves, or join one of our community sessions with up to six people for a more social experience. After your heat and cold therapy, stroll over to The Nest Café to refuel with great coffee and food.

You’ll find us at Station Rd, Thurstaston, Wirral CH61 0HN. We have a few allocated onsite parking spaces, and if these are full there are two public car parks less than a five minute walk down Station Road.

Where are you located?

How does it work?

We offer a wood-fired sauna and cold plunge experience in a converted horsebox. You can either book a private hire session or join one of our community sessions with up to six people.

What is the difference between private hire and a community session?

Private hire gives you exclusive use of the sauna and cold plunge for your group. A community session is a shared timetable slot where you can book an individual place and enjoy the experience with others, up to six people in total.

How do I book a session?

You can book online via our booking page by choosing your date, time, and whether you want private hire or a community slot. Once booked, you will receive a confirmation email with all the details you need.

What should I bring with me?

Please bring a swimsuit, a towel or robe, a water bottle, and flip-flops or sliders. You may also want a warm layer for after your session, especially if it is cooler outside.

Is there parking available?

Yes. We have a few allocated onsite parking spaces. If these are full, there are two public car parks less than a five minute walk down Station Road.

How many people can the sauna hold?

Community sessions are capped at six people. For private hire we can accomodate up to.
